American gangster auction to make thousands

An auction to be held in New Hampshire entitled ‘Gangsters, Outlaws and Lawmen’, is expected to make thousands from the sale of personal items belonging to some of America’s most famous outlaws.

One of the items causing a stir is Al Capone’s ‘rap sheet’ (Record of Arrest and Prosecution).

The rap sheet features Capone’s mug shot, finger prints and a typed deposition.

Chicago’s most famous Prohibition gangster signed the police transcript four times, with his full name – Alphonse Capone.

The deposition details an interview between the infamous gangster and Chicago police regarding the attempted murder of John Torrio, a mentor and associate to Capone.

Dated January 24th 1925, the rap sheet is expected to sell to a collector for around $100,000 (63,000).

The auction is being held by RR Auctions on September 29th.

Other lots going under the hammer include personal items that once belonged to legendary criminal couple Bonnie and Clyde.
