Ferrari leads the pack in the social media race

A new study has found that luxury brands are leading the way when it comes to engaging with customers via social media platforms.

According to Simply Measured, high-end brands such as Ferrari, Gucci and Burberry all rank in the top 100 brands on Google+ when it comes to consumer engagement.

The automotive industry currently leads the way on the social network, with such brands included in 2,696,960 circles with Ferrari ahead of that specific pack, included in 730,831 Google Circles.

Simply Measured chief executive Adam Schoenfeld said: “Based on this most recent quarter, luxury and automotive brands are clearly finding Google+ to be an effective way to connect with consumers.

“It will be interesting to watch the data unfold as we near the one-year anniversary of the platform.”

The luxury motor industry is also performing well on Facebook too, with the top five brands in terms of ‘likes’ all being automobile brands and the famous Italian giant ranking at number two in that list.
