Christie’s Impressionist/Modern works on paper auction this month will boast exquisite watercolours, gouaches, pastels and drawings.
Artists including Monet, Nolde, Picasso, Matisse and Chagall will be featured in the sale.
In addition there is a solid selection of drawings by the masters of Vienna on sale, including Schiele, Klimt and Kokoschka; and Paris, with this selection featuring big names such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Delaunay. Read more

Christie’s auction house in New York is gearing up for an online sale of Andy Warhol works in a bid to offer the iconic pieces up to a wider audience.

English pottery and Chinese Export Art to go on sale at Christie’s
Christie’s auction house is preparing to hold a sale of English Pottery and Chinese Export Art, which will take place on January 28th at the Rockefeller Plaza.
Over 50 lots of English pottery will be auctioned off in the 10.00 GMT session, including a selection of early English saltglazed stoneware, redware, and creamware collected by William Burton Goodwin in the 1920′s and 30′s. Read more

Auction houses Christie’s and Sotheby’s are holding an auction of valuable Asian art as part of their semi-annual Asia Week.
According to Reuters, the sales, which began on Monday, will include bronze Buddha statues, modern art, hanging scrolls as well as a number of carved rhinoceros horns which have been featured on Antiques Roadshow. Read more
