Whitney Houston auction tipped to bring in thousands

A number of pieces belonging to the late Whitney Houston are to be sold at an auction in Beverly Hills, California, on June 24.

Of the 44 items to be sold, there are to be dresses and accessories, awards and even a previous passport of the late mega star put under the hammer as well as jewellery she wore in The Bodyguard.

Also up for sale are a pair of black gloves worn by Whitney in her Greatest Love Of All video as well as the invitation and program from her funeral which took place in February.

Given her superstar status, the auction is set to bring in thousands of dollars with a blue dress worn by the recording artist at the 1996 Grammy Awards expected to fetch between $3,000 and $5,000.

Houston’s passport is tipped to be the most valuable, with a predicted price tag of $6,000.

The black leather gloves are expected to fetch around $800.
