Crisis wins borro.com £10 million in funding

Online pawnbroker borro.com has secured £10 million in funding after recession sparked a surge in demand. Founder Paul Aitken put its success down to looking at a wider range of goods and offering 'one of the best commercial deals around'. The funding is growth and comes from sources incliding venture capital, added the 37-year-old. The London-based company was set up in 2008 and has proved popular with affluent customers. It already holds Ferraris, Porches, diamonds and a Henry Moore statue pawned in the recession. Download PDF
