A Premiership star had to pawn a £3,000 watch after finding himself skint.
He parted with the Breitling Crosswind to pay for a night out with pals, it is claimed.
Paul Aitken, of pawnbrokers www.borro.com, said: "It was a week until pay day and he was short of cash."
He said the player was later able to collect the watch.
