2017 has kicked off with some incredible and exciting auctions. Let’s take a look at the results of some that we had our eyes on!

Christie’s Jewelry Auction: January 18th, London

Christie’s often hosts beautiful jewelry auctions, and this January the house brought 250 pieces to sale. The top selling lot was this single stone emerald ring that weights 11.98 carats, fetching $28,400. The total sale amount of the auction was $993,490.

Bonham’s Scottsdale Auction: January 19th, Arizona

The Scottsdale auction is the must-see auction for all car lovers. A huge range of cars hit the sale, with the top lot being this 1963 Jaguar E-Type Lightweight Competition which sold for $7,437,159.

Sotheby’s Old Master Drawings: January 25th, New York

This sale combined wonderful pieces of work from over four centuries that have either been only just discovered or rarely seen before. This painting by Jospeh Mallord William Turner, entitled “Switzerland”, was the top lot at $762,414, over three times its high estimate. The auction overall raised a lovely $4,571,920.
