The London Art Fair took place 20-24 January 2017 and focused on Modern British and Contemporary Art. Pieces from the 20th Century through to the present day were presented in such a way to excite collectors. Borro has compiled a list of the pieces that stood out to us and have an incredible place in the Modern British Art world.
Morwenna Morrison has painted this unique piece entitled “Et in Arcadia Ego”, which is due to sell for around $12,560.
This colourful geometric piece is by Biggs & Collings, titled the Great Reward (2014). It is up for sale for $24,500.
Russell west also created this popping oil and wire piece called “God Particle III”, and is for sale for $11,000.
The art fair presented a wide range of sculptures to feed those collectors who prefer 3D art. This piece, “L’Enfant was created by Anna Gillespie and is expected to sell for $17,600.
One of the pricier pieces is this “Lacrimasa” painting by Howard Morgan, which has a selling price of $91,700.
This piece is called “Venetians Walking on Duckboards in Flooded Venice” and was created by John Bratby in 1989. It is a huge oil on canvas painting, currently selling for $40,820.
This extremely large mixed media work is by Trevor Beil, entitled “Westerly”, and is on sale for $54,230.
This vibrant oil on canvas has been created by John Monks, who has named his work “The Panelled Room”. The price of this eye-catching piece is $65,340.
