The RM Sotheby’s sale retuned for its fourth year this month. The top lot sold was this 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo P3 which sold within its estimate for $4 million. This car is only one for three examples originally fitted with Dubonnet independent from suspension.

This auction raised $3.3 million in total and the top lot was a 1971 La Tache, which sold beyond its estimate at $91,875. This sale is a favorite of Christies, and often has bidders battling it out for the rare works of art that are fresh to the market. This year the auction raised $116 million and the top lot was this ‘Te Fare’ by Paul Gauguin which realized a price of $24.7 million.
