The RM Sotheby’s sale retuned for its fourth year this month. The top lot sold was this 1934 Alfa Romeo Tipo P3 which sold within its estimate for £3.3 million. This car is only one of three examples originally fitted with Dubonnet independent from suspension.

Sotheby’s Finest and Rarest Wines: 25th February

Sotheby’s regularly hosts a fine and rare wine auction, selling exceptional wine to the most enthusiastic of collectors. This auction raised £2.6 million in total and the top lot was a 1971 La Tache, which sold beyond its estimate at £74,189.

Christie’s Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale: 28th February

This sale is a favourite of Christies, and often has bidders battling it out for the rare works of art that are fresh to the market. This year the auction raised £94 million and the top lot was this ‘Te Fare’ by Paul Gauguin which realised a price of £20 million.
